The kitesurfing and wing foil season runs from April to October, with the strongest and most consistent winds typically from June through September. Summer temperatures average 25-30 degrees with warm water and long sunny days. Spring and autumn are quieter with great conditions for SUP, surfing, e-bike tours, and exploring the Silver Coast at a more relaxed pace.
Not at all! Our IKO-certified instructors welcome complete beginners. The Obidos lagoon is one of Europe's best learning spots -- flat, shallow water with consistent thermal winds. Most beginners get up on the board within 3-5 lessons. We provide all equipment and safety gear, and tailor the pace to each student's comfort level.
Our camp packages include accommodation at The Lodge, daily breakfast, kite or wing foil lessons with IKO-certified instructors, all equipment rental, and access to the pool and chill areas. Depending on the package, you may also get extra activities like e-bike tours, yoga sessions, and group dinners. Check our packages page for full details on each camp option.
We're about 90km north of Lisbon, roughly a 50-minute drive via the A8 motorway. If you're renting a car, it's the easiest option. You can also take a bus from Lisbon's Campo Grande terminal to Caldas da Rainha (about 1 hour), and from there it's a 15-minute taxi ride to the lagoon. We can also help arrange airport transfers if you let us know your flight details in advance.
Absolutely. We offer standalone kitesurf and wing foil lessons for day visitors, whether you're staying nearby or just passing through the Silver Coast. You can book individual lessons, multi-day courses, or equipment rentals separately. Just get in touch with your preferred dates and we'll put together the right plan for you.
